Manage Asthma Symptoms

Get kids into the Action

Children with asthma should be encouraged to participate in activities like their friends without asthma stopping them.

If physical activities trigger your child’s asthma symptoms, ask your doctors about pre-treating with asthma medications to control and prevent  asthma attacks.

Asthma symptoms can vary day to day, here are four tips:

  1. Partner with the child’s asthma provider to develop an asthma action plan
  2. Learn to recognize warning signs of an asthma episode. (Add asthma zone screenshot here)
  3. If you see your child having asthma symptoms, treat it early – follow the asthma action plan.
  4. Avoid things that trigger asthma attacks as much as possible.
